About

Celebrate creativity at Bath Central Library as part of the Festival of Libraries!

Share your poems whether original works or beloved classics at our welcoming Poetry Open Mic. This is your chance to connect with a vibrant community of poetry lovers.

☕ Grab a coffee or tea, step up to the mic, and let your words flow. Whether you're a seasoned poet or trying it for the first time, this is an inclusive space for all voices.

✨ Special Guest: We're thrilled to host Kathryn O'Driscoll, the 2021 UK Poetry Slam Champion and World Slam Finalist. Kathryn is a spoken word poet, writer, and activist from Bath whose work explores mental health, disability, LGBTQIA+ experiences, and gender politics. She has appeared on the BAFTA-winning Sky Arts show Life and Rhymes and her debut collection Cliff Notes was published by Verve Poetry Press.
