Hen Parties

Bath is a popular destination for stylish hen parties that want to make the most of the relaxing spas, fun daytime activitPampering package with GoHenies and lively evening vibe. Various accommodation providers in the area welcome hen parties, while self-catering properties provide the ideal, flexible option for large groups. Many are situated within the city centre, just a short walk away from all the main attractions and nightlife. If you need some help with organising a memorable hen night speak to Bath-based company GoHen, who can organise the whole weekend for you!

Here are some of our favourite hen party ideas…

Get creative
Try your hand at making your own garters, bunting or bath bombs! Or even have a go at life drawing (with a suitably eye-catching model, of course!) at The Makery

Add a personal touch to your wedding venue decorations by getting your hens to create beautiful baubles, hearts and flowers at a Bath Aqua Glass workshop – you can even try a glass blowing experience with the centre’s very own Mr Darcy!

If you're planning a big night out why not spend the day at the Bath Academy of Media Make Up, to make sure you all look your absolute best for the evening?

West Country Games Get outside and active
Head to West Country Games for some hilarious outdoor antics, including the cider run, pitchfork duel, wurzel knockout and welly wanging – all washed down with some locally made cider and a ploughman’s lunch.

What about combining a vineyard tour and wine tasting in a local organic vineyard. You get a chance then to try a range of wines with some blind tasting challenges and buy the wines at farm gate prices.

Or how about a fun and competitive scavenger hunt around the city? Split your hens into teams and race against each other to complete the "Wife of Bath" trail first.

There’s nothing like a bit of friendly competition to get your hen party off to a good start! Team Pursuits provides a range of outdoor activities such as archery, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, falconry and more. You might even discover a lifelong hobby to pursue long after the party's over!Quoins vineyard

Evening entertainment sorted

If you fancy a laugh on your hen night, Komedia offers VIP group packages for comedy or burlesque shows. For £45 a person, your group can enjoy a three course meal, a glass of prosecco and a ticket to the show.

If your group loves to belt out a good tune, hire a kareoke party pod at The Cork and sing your hearts out to favourite songs. Pods can be hired for a minimum of two hours, with prices starting from £6 an hour.

For some pampering time with the girls, head to Thermae Bath Spa to relax and unwind in the naturally heated spa water. The historic, intimate Cross Bath is available for exclusive use for up to 12 people, with the option to enjoy snacks and bubbles whilst you bathe too.

What better place to enjoy a decadent Champagne afternoon tea than the magnificent setting of the Pump Room Restaurant? Available for groups of 8-20, hens can enjoy a Champagne tasting tray, scones, pastries and tea or coffee in supremely elegant surroundings.

The recently-refurbished, super-stylish Porter offers fabulous packages, including a High Tea Hendrick’s Gin Party with tastings and cupcakes, or the Champagne High Tea Party, which includes sandwiches, sweet treats, tea tasting and of course, plenty of fizz!

Before heading out on the town, why not head to the chic Sub 13 cocktail bar for a hen party makeover in the photo studio above? Afterward you can head downstairs to the bar and learn all the tricks of the mixology trade during a cocktail masterclass.

The Roman Baths Kitchen, just a stones throw away from the famous Roman Baths, offers cocktail masterclasses too - make your three favourite cocktails whilst enjoying delicious canapés and cupcakes.

The newly opened Casa Iguanas brings Brazillian flavour to Bath where you'll find magnificent cachaça in abundance. Enjoy a short history of cocktails before getting behind the bar to make your own.

If you fancy taking your hens on a uniquely stylish tour of Bath, hire a traditional horse drawn carriage from Courtyard Carriages – you can even add Champagne for that extra special touch.
