Why not catch the latest pantomime, musical or drama at the historic Theatre Royal Bath? Or spend an entertaining evening laughing at your new favourite comedian at Komedia or Chapel Arts Centre?

Alternatively, sit back and enjoy a critically acclaimed play in one of our arts venues or watch a quirky indie film in a 1930s picture house.

The Theatre Royal
Open since 1805, the Theatre Royal is one of the oldest and most historic theatres in the country. Within the theatre you’ll find the beautiful Main House with a year round programme of drama, opera, dance and musicals often showcased before heading to London. The Theatre Royal is also home to the award winning egg theatre, a theatre dedicated to children and young people, as well as the Ustinov Studio which specialises in eclectic plays in an intimate environment. You can often purchase standby cheap theatre tickets for as little as £6, or £4 for standing tickets on the day.

The Mission Theatre
Located in a former chapel, The Mission Theatre is an independently run arts venue in the centre of Bath with a bursting programme of comedy, theatre and music.

Little Theatre Cinema
The quaint and elegant Little Theatre Bath will remind you of a bygone era with its 1930s Art Deco interior and plush red seats perfect for reclining in. The Little puts on a variety of arthouse films but also screens the latest Hollywood blockbusters too, the perfect alternative to a typical multiplex. 

Bath Spa University Theatre
As a leading University for creative arts, it’s no surprise that the University Theatre hosts a wide range of enjoyable shows, from musical theatre to contemporary dance  and comedy too. The state of the art Theatre is located in the beautiful Newton Park campus.

Komedia
Komedia is one of Bath’s biggest live entertainment venues and four times winner of the Chortle Award for Best Venue in the West and Wales. This is the go to place for cabaret, comedy, club nights, music and film.

Chapel Arts
A fantastic intimate venue with brilliant natural acoustics. Chapel Arts hosts an eclectic year round calendar of events of theatre, dance, comedy, film, mime, poetry and music.
