First Stop: Milsom Area
Begin at the top of town, along the handsome shopping promenade of Milsom Street, a real fashion runway and home to Jolly’s – the UK’s oldest department store – which is where you will now find House of Fraser.
Make sure to stop at Santoro London to pick up some gorgeous gifts or souvenirs of your trip.
Onto Milsom Place
Tucked away through a handsome Georgian archway is the shopping and dining hub of Milsom Place, the perfect spot to wind up your morning’s activity. Boasting a variety of tasty lunch options from sushi to authentic Italian at Jamie’s or Carluccio’s, lunch deals at Côte or lighter bites at the delis, you’ll find something delicious to help you refuel.
Next Stop: Stall Street
Venture down Stall Street and take a detour to pass under the Georgian arches and gaze at the imposing Bath Abbey, a great photo stop. Wander past the Roman Baths and across Abbey Churchyard to the best-kept secret in Bath, Abbey Green.
Admire the old Plane tree as you cross the cobbles, stopping off in the Foodie Bugle to pick up a souvenir or enjoy a slice of homemade cake.
Shop ‘til you drop in SouthGate
A little further southward will take you to the shopping hotspot of SouthGate, home to dozens of big names and all your favourite brands, so make sure to save your energy for some afternoon splurging!
Stay: The Premier Inn
Once you’ve exhausted your shopping energies (and your credit card!), stroll up St James’s Parade to check in at your centrally located hotel. The Bath Brew House lies mere steps away, so it’s the perfect port of call for pre-dinner drinks.
