Thrill seekers will love the annual Great Escape Room Challenge at Mary Shelley's House of Frankenstein. Can you beat the current record of 23 minutes? Choose to challenge either the Victor's Lair or the attraction's new escape room, The Shallows, and find out!
At the American Museum & Gardens, adults can enjoy the brand new American Road Trip exhibition, while younger visitors can get involved in the venue's special Easter Eggcitement activities. There's a chocolate treat in store for those who sucessfully find all of the colourful egg installations hidden in the garden and answer all of their questions correctly, and an Easter crafting station. Plus, visit before the end of March and enjoy the stunning spring sight of 70,000 daffodils in bloom across the gardens as part of the American Museum & Gardens' annual Daffodil Month.
Indulge in some family fun with the Bath Preservation Trust museums' Easter workshops. At No.1 Royal Crescent, let the kids try their hand at crafting their own 3D floral collage, while at the Herschel Museum of Astronomy, you can all get hands-on with amazing artefacts, from meteorites to telescopes.
The Holburne Museum is also home to a wide range of family events this Easter. Visit any time during the school holiday and pick up a free ‘Draw & Explore’ trail, then find the Easter hares hiding in the Holburne’s collection and grounds throughout the school holidays. Kids can also get crafty with a range of worskhops inspired by the museum's current Gilian Lowndes and Gwen John exhibitions, including 3D sculpture making and mixed-media spring flower collages.
Immerse yourself in the Wonderful World of the Ladybird Book Artists exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery, and discover the story of the illustrators behind the extraordinary success of the company. As well as a colourful collection of Ladybird books on display, there are also plenty of books available to pick up and enjoy in a dedicated reading corner.
Don't miss The Roman Baths' annual Easter Lates event, offering you the chance to take in the unique atmosphere around the torchlit Great Bath. Make the evening even more special with Champagne, Prosecco, or indulgent hot chocolates from the pop-up bar, and take advantage of the extended opening hours to explore the rest of the museum at a relaxed pace.
Head outside of the city centre for some fabulous Easter egg hunts and trails. Pick up a special Easter trail at Prior Park Landscape Garden and Dyrham Park to find nature-inspired activities for all the family to try across the site, while savouring a delicious chocolate egg. Or, join in with Bowood's Spring Adventure, where you will need to find 10 eggs hidden throughout the arboretum, unscramble the letters and guess the word to win a prize.
On the opposite side of Bath, don't miss the delights of Wookey Hole. Explore an ancient cave network, enjoy a walk among spring flowers in the beautiful valley, experience a film in the 4D cinema or a circus show in the theatre, have some old-fashioned fun in the vintage penny arcade, and challeneg each other to a game of crazy golf. Celebrate the Easter weekend at Green Park Brasserie and Bath Pizza Co, as well as the start of the venue's party season. Lounge with drinks on the lively outdoor terraces, savour one of Bath's best-loved Sunday roasts in the Brasserie accompanied by live music four nights a week, or tuck in to an award-winning pizza at Bath Pizza Co. Don't miss the launch of the venue's brand new upstairs event space, which will be opening with one of the Bath Comedy Festival's standup gigs.
Add a North African twist to your Easter meal at The Ivy Bath Brasserie, where you can enjoy aromatic Moroccan lamb throughout the day, or sip on cocktails with friends over the course of an evening. Meanwhile, kids can have fun personalising The Ivy's special Easter chocolate brownies with their own design for dessert.
At the nearby Côte Brasserie, celebrate French-style with the restaurant's new Easter à la Côte menu. Choose from succulent sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce, confit pork belly with calvados jus, or roast chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce, all served with either dauphinoise potatoes or frites, and an extra side each. Côte have also created a beautiful sharing board for vegetarians this Easter, featuring mushroom bourguignon, baked camembert cheese and baked ratatouille.
If you're craving a more traditional Easter meal, head outside of the city centre to Flourish Foodhall and savour freshly cooked Somerset lamb accompanied by seasonal sides.
Get your Easter fix of sweet treats at Heavenly Desserts Bath, where you'll find everything from classic cakes such as sticky toffee pudding to the restaurant's exclusive 'croffles,' crepes, cheesecakes, chocolate dishes and many more.
